MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC named one of the Best Places to Work in Baltimore

BALTIMORE - MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC, a full service commercial real estate company in Maryland, was voted one of the Best Places to Work in Baltimore by the “Baltimore Business Journal”. 

The award is based on an independent survey by the Business Journal, in conjunction with Quantum Market Research Inc., which asked for employees to rate their companies on such things as leadership effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, trust in co-workers, people practices, work engagement and other workplace factors.

The 31 finalist organizations were selected from a pool of 176 nominated companies based on how their employees rated them on a 38-question survey that was administered online. “Since this survey was anonymous, it’s a great indicator of how employees really feel about their workplace,” said Business Journal Publisher James Breiner. “Creating a great workplace is a key factor in a business’s ability to attract and keep the best talent. In a knowledge economy, talented people provide the competitive edge.”

The Business Journal solicited nominations from companies in three categories, based on their size – 25 to 100 employees, 101 to 499, and 500 and above.  Businesses had to have at least 25 employees working in the Baltimore metropolitan region to be eligible. The percentage of employees responding had to meet minimum levels for nominees to qualify – 85% for companies of fewer than 50 employees, for example, and 30% for companies of 500 to 1,000.

Quantum Market Research of Wichita, Kansas, tabulated the responses and ranked the companies based on their scores.  The results were published in the March 24, 2006, edition of the Baltimore Business Journal, which also listed the top three companies in each of the three categories.
