MacKenzie’s Lutherville Office Adds a New Hire to the Research Division

BALTIMORE – MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC, (MacKenzie) an independently owned and operated member of the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance, has added a new associate to its Lutherville, Maryland office. Yaw Frempong has officially joined MacKenzie as a Research Assistant.

Frempong will be working with Kathy Boehk, MacKenzie’s Director of Research.  Frempong’s responsibilities will be to provide market research services to MacKenzie’s Industrial, Office and Retail divisions. He will provide detailed demographic analysis, vacancy statistics, absorption rates, and other data collection services as needed.    As MacKenzie continues to grow due to its many commercial real estate initiatives in Maryland, the addition of Frempong will be a key asset in keeping the agents and their clients armed with the most up-to-date market information in the Baltimore-metropolitan region.

Prior to joining MacKenzie’s research division, Frempong earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana. While in Ghana, he worked in the mortgage division as a land economist for Echobank Ghana Limited.  Frempong earned his Masters degree in Urban Planning from the University of Buffalo which has helped him gain a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of land economy and community development.

“As a land economist, I was exposed to the legal, valuation, marketing, financing, investment analysis, development process, public policy, and the analytical framework of the real estate industry,” said Frempong. “This exposure led to my decision to pursue a career in real estate.”

“The research department at MacKenzie has been growing steadily for several years,” said Kathy Boehk, Director of Research for MacKenzie. “The addition of Mr. Frempong to our team will allow us to achieve a higher level of expertise in the research and information area.”

Frempong currently resides in Gaithersburg, Maryland, but plans to relocate to Baltimore County in the near future.
