We are seeking a Marketing Assistant for our Columbia, Maryland office that will be responsible for the day-to-day business and marketing support activities for a 10-person brokerage team. Training will take place in the firm’s Lutherville office for the first three months. A bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, communications, or related field and a minimum of two years’ relevant experience is required. Advanced use of Microsoft Office and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite are a must, as well as being a collaborative team player, having superior organization and project management skills, and a strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate is a fast-thinking problem solver with an excellent work ethic, a positive and outgoing disposition, creative mindset, and has the desire to establish a meaningful relationship with a firm that rewards dedication and loyalty.
Responsibilities and Duties
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Daily marketing support: creation and maintenance of listing collateral, email blasts, proposals, presentations, and other related items utilizing company branded templates
- Manage team’s property listings across multiple industry platforms (Costar, LoopNet, MacKenzie website, etc.) to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Create and schedule property email blasts
- Assist brokerage team with scheduling and assembling property tours
- Working in conjunction with MacKenzie’s research analyst, support gathering project-specific research information and market surveys
- Support the brokerage team with the creation of targeted distribution lists for various listing and marketing initiatives
- Provide support to the brokerage team with technology applications
- Support the team’s CRM needs, i.e. contact entry and updates, categorizing, grouping, and maintenance of individual databases and distribution lists
- Assist and participate as needed for industry functions and client events
- General administrative support including, but not limited to, typing assignments, production of collateral including printing, binding, and mailing, troubleshooting equipment/computer issues, mange general office supplies, upkeep of office and common areas, and schedule meetings (coordinating those onsite)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- Two years’ relevant work experience
- Advanced understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite a must (InDesign and PhotoShop)
- Ability to collaborate and communicate across all levels of a company
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Excel at multi‐tasking and task prioritization when supporting multiple people/projects in a
highly demanding environment with close deadlines - Attention to detail and high level of accuracy required
- Must have excellent time management, problem‐solving, and organizational skills
- Capable of working within a team environment, as well as independently; extremely self‐
motivated - Ability to learn quickly and take on new projects optimistically; able to think outside of the box
- Positive and outgoing disposition; willingness to learn
