Mike Hanssen

Mike Hanssen joined MacKenzie Contracting in October 2024 as a Senior Project Manager, bringing over 14 years of extensive construction experience to the team. Known for his expertise in project coordination, cost control, scheduling, and team development, Mike has successfully managed high-profile, multi-million dollar projects across various sectors. Prior to MacKenzie Contracting, Mike was a Project Manager at The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, where he oversaw complex projects such as UMBC’s $73 million Sherman Hall and the $22 million Spring Grove site.

He is a graduate of both Virginia Tech, with a Bachelor’s in Business Management, and Georgetown University, where he earned a Master’s in Sports Industry Management. In addition to his academic credentials, Mike is OSHA-30, CPR, and First Aid certified, underscoring his commitment to safety and quality in all project phases.
