Ryan Katstra

Ryan Katstra is a Real Estate Advisor with MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, based in the firm’s Charlottesville office. Ryan supports both landlord and tenant representation assignments across a variety of asset classes, including office, retail, industrial, and land. Working alongside Executive Vice President Sam Orr and Real Estate Advisor Brian Thomas, he assists clients with market analysis, property marketing, business development initiatives, and transaction execution, helping deliver strategic real estate solutions aligned with client objectives.

Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Virginia, with a minor in Real Estate through the McIntire School of Commerce. His academic background includes commercial real estate investment analysis, finance, econometrics, and market analysis, providing him with a strong analytical foundation for advising clients. He was recognized on the Dean’s List for academic excellence.

Prior to joining MacKenzie, Ryan gained valuable industry experience through positions with the UVA Foundation and Braden Property Management. In these roles, he supported redevelopment planning efforts, financial analysis, property operations, and tenant services, developing a practical understanding of real estate development, management, and investment considerations.

Ryan brings a strong analytical background and a deep connection to the Central Virginia community. He is committed to supporting the Charlottesville team and helping clients navigate their real estate needs throughout the region.
