MCRES Launches Healthcare Services Group
New division, formed to provide full suite of real estate advisory services to hospitals and medical practices, adds veteran 20-year real estate veteran Dennis Bodley to seven-person team
MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC has launched a new Healthcare Services Group, designed to provide a full suite of real estate advisory services to hospitals and healthcare providers including privately-owned medical practices throughout the greater Maryland region. Scott Wimbrow, President and Principal of the brokerage firm, will direct the activities of the seven-person professional team which recently added 20-year real estate veteran Dennis Bodley, formerly Director of Real Estate, LifeBridge Health. The group will be based in MacKenzie’s Columbia offices.
“Hospitals, healthcare systems, and private medical practices continue to face financial pressure with many needing sound advice and continuing guidance when making important real estate decisions that directly impact operations and the bottom line,” explained MacKenzie’s Wimbrow. “Our team is adept at identifying opportunities, as well as recommending and executing strategies that increase revenue, reduce overlap and expenses, and position the healthcare entity for sustained and long-term growth.”
MacKenzie’s Health Services Group provides site selection, transaction, asset and construction management services, as well as guidance with capital planning, the structuring of joint venture partnerships, and enhancing a healthcare provider’s client services platform. This includes providing access to the private equity market to fuel acquisitions or foster investment initiatives.
Joining the MacKenzie team is Dennis Bodley, who has also held management level positions with Colliers International and Hearn Burkley Commercial Real Estate Services. He has spent the past eleven years overseeing the real estate function for LifeBridge Health, one of Maryland’s largest healthcare systems. Bodley’s responsibilities included site selection, acquisition and disposition activities and providing guidance and support through all phases of the real estate cycle.
Additional members of the group include Executive Vice President and Principal Chris Bennett and Tom Fidler; and Senior Vice President & Principal Joe Bradley, Tom Mottley, and Matt Mueller.
