Local development group was seeking additional equity for the purchase of a mixed-use, historic building in Downtown Baltimore.In addition, the Sellers of the project required significant assurance that the acquisition of the building would close on-time and without issue creating significant challenges in securing the acquisition contract.
Approach and Results
The buyer turned to MacKenzie Capital, LLC to identify equity investment partners and secure interim debt financing.Leveraging relationships with the Seller’s representative team and local developer clients, MacKenzie’s involvement in the deal was endorsed and a passive investment partner was identified.The adaptive, re-use redevelopment project closed without issue.
