Planet Fitness, one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers in the U.S., has signed a 22,000 square foot lease for the space currently occupied by Marshalls at Mondawmin Mall, situated at 2010 Gwynns Falls Parkway in Northwest Baltimore. TJX Cos. Inc., Marshall’s parent company, announced in December that Marshalls would be vacating the space on January 12th. This will be Planet Fitness’ fifth location in Baltimore City. MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services’ Senior Vice President/Principal John Schultz represented Planet Fitness in the transaction.

The 22,000 square foot club will offer state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment, free fitness training and a Black Card Spa which will include HydroMassage beds and massage chairs. Plans are underway to begin construction during the first quarter of 2019 and be open by the Summer.
