The MacKenzie Companies are honored to announce that their brokerage and management divisions have been engaged by Caves Valley Partners (CVP) to provide office leasing and property management services for the iconic Baltimore project, the Village at Cross Keys. CVP finalized its purchase of the North Baltimore mixed-use project in July and plans to revitalize the once vibrant destination center. MacKenzie’s leasing team will be led by Matt Mueller and include Bill Whitty, Joe Bradley, and Henson Ford. MacKenzie Management Vice President Marie Gerwig will oversee the property management and maintenance teams for the property.
Rich in history, the Village at Cross Keys is centrally located to many city and county neighborhoods and offers both visibility and two highway exits (Northern Parkway and Cold Spring Lane) off of I-83. The project consists of both office and retail buildings with a tenant mix of larger anchors such as Williams Sonoma and Talbots, and smaller local shops and galleries. With strong support from surrounding neighborhoods and community associations, CVP’s plans include bringing in a smaller grocer in a new building to be constructed, adding restaurants, a fitness studio, hair salon, and other tenants to complement the existing mix; and, constructing a 325-unit apartment building.
“The Village at Cross Keys is an iconic, local landmark and holds great importance to the community,” stated Brendan Gill, President of MacKenzie Management. “As a local company ourselves, we are excited for the opportunity to represent Cross Keys and work with CVP as they rejuvenate the project to its full potential.”
MacKenzie’s management services will include the day-to-day physical management of the property, detailed financial analysis, and customer service with the tenants. These responsibilities will be comprised of lease administration, budgeting, financial reporting, contracting and oversight of third-party service providers, and supervision and maintenance of the building systems. MacKenzie will provide first point of contact for all tenant-related concerns, enhancing landlord/tenant relations and ultimately strengthening the project’s long-term success. MacKenzie’s leasing team is marketing office suites in the project, in Village Square and The Quadrangle ranging from as small as 300 square feet to 16,000 square feet. Extensive interior upgrades, including office lobby renovations, are in the works, along with a complete refresh of the facades and courtyard at Village Square.
