Planet Fitness Opens at Easton’s Waterside Village
MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC is pleased to announce that Planet Fitness, one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers in the U.S., opened this week at Waterside Village in Easton, Talbot County, Maryland. Located at the signalized intersection of Easton Parkway (Rt. 322) and St. Michaels Road (Rt. 33), this is a newly constructed, 17,500 square foot facility. Currently, members of MacKenzie’s retail and office teams are representing the center’s leasing efforts on behalf of new ownership BET Properties.
Waterside Village is Easton’s premier mixed-use destination boasting 200,000 square feet of retail and office space. Anchor tenants include Target, Harris Teeter, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Michaels, and BJ’s Wholesale Club. The MacKenzie team collaborated with their location intelligence division, Datastory, to provide deep market analysis presenting sites that would best suit Planet Fitness’ expansion requirements. Datastory was able to present information not only about the market, but further analyze Planet Fitness’ customer base and market competition, proving that Waterside Village would serve as a successful location.
